Live Latin Music Nights for Restaurants and Lounges: Lessons from Rosie's, Amagansett

A good live music night does two jobs: it makes dinner feel special, and it gives guests a reason to stay for one more round. Latin Moon has played Rosie’s in Amagansett many times: a residency, Tuesday Live Sessions, themed nights like the Haunted Cabaret and Rosie’s Día de los Muertos celebration, Halloween 2025, and November 29, 2025.

“Latin Moon has become such a special part of the live music experience at Rosie’s. Every time they play, they bring an incredible energy to the room and create the kind of atmosphere that immediately gets people engaged, dancing, and enjoying themselves.”

Start as a backdrop, end as a celebration

The Rosie’s team put it well: Latin Moon can be “the perfect backdrop for dinner” or turn “the evening into a full-on celebration.” The set follows the room. Early on, Cocktail & Dinner songs keep conversation easy. Later, Soul, Jazz & Groove and Upbeat / After Dinner songs like “Crazy In Love” and “Higher Ground” bring people to their feet.

Themed nights show what a band can do for a venue. For Rosie’s Día de los Muertos celebration, Latin Moon played a full evening, 7 to 10 PM. For the Haunted Cabaret, Latin Moon opened the night from 7 to 9 PM before the next act.

What venues should plan for

  • Space: at least 10′ wide by 8′ deep, 12′ by 10′ preferred, flat and stable, with access to power.
  • Lineup: the trio (piano and vocals, percussion, saxophone and flute) is Latin Moon’s signature sound and the full experience. The expanded ensemble adds bass or guitar for bigger rooms.
  • Recurring nights: Latin Moon plays regular nights, weekly or once a month, so guests know when to come back.
  • Agreements: every confirmed engagement comes with a written agreement covering logistics, payment terms, scheduling and production details.

Why reliability matters for venues

For a venue, a band is part of the guest experience. The Rosie’s team called Latin Moon “professional, reliable, and genuinely wonderful to work with.” Clear logistics and a clear booking process mean the music is one less thing for the manager to handle.

Where Latin Moon has played

Rosie’s in Amagansett, Springs Tavern in East Hampton, The Church in Sag Harbor, and Faraway Hotel, plus galas such as OLA of Eastern Long Island’s Sabor Cocktail Gala. More about Latin Moon.
