Mila Tina is a Chilean-American interdisciplinary artist, performer, and system designer based in New York. Her work focuses on the integration of physiological signals, movement, and real-time environments, developing performance systems in which internal states generate sound and visual output.
She is the creator of BioSymphony, a bio-kinetic performance system that translates physiological data, including heart rate variability and neural signals, into real-time audiovisual environments. She also developed Symbiotrix, a neural-visual performance exploring the relationship between movement and brain activity, presented at Miami Art Basel.
Her practice spans performance, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with work presented internationally and developed through residencies and presentations at Bay Street Theater, Southampton Arts Center, Parrish Art Museum, and The Church in Sag Harbor. She has collaborated with musicians and performers across multiple disciplines and has contributed to projects integrating rhythm, movement, and technology.
Mila Tina completed a residency at The Church in Sag Harbor, where she developed work exploring rhythm as a perceptual and relational system. Her ongoing work investigates the interaction between body, signal, and environment across performance and research contexts.
