Workshops & Talks

Rhythm Workshops & Talks

For schools, seniors, communities and teams. No musical experience needed.

Mila Tina brings drums, movement and a little science into the room. People play together, get it wrong, laugh, try again, and leave understanding a bit more about how they learn.

Play first. Then understand.

  1. We start with a beat. Everyone plays, with hands, body percussion or drums. Nobody needs to read music.
  2. We make it a little harder, on purpose. New patterns, switching hands, keeping time together. The tricky moment is where the learning happens.
  3. We talk about what just happened. A short, plain explanation of how practice changes the brain, connected to your group’s theme.

People leave with exercises they can keep practicing at home.

Schools. Senior centers. Community rooms. Stages.

What people say.

Through rhythm and movement, she helped our seniors come out of their shells. They laughed, danced, and chanted as she played her instruments, creating a joyful and engaging atmosphere.
Wally Ramirez
Community Advocate, OLA of Eastern Long Island
Her energy easily translates to work with kids and it has been an honor having her rhythm and brain workshops come to my camps and private programs. Everyone who participates seems to lose themselves in the energy of the workshop.
Aaron Goldschmidt
Founder & Director, Shine
“I find myself doing the exercises at any chance I get. The hand exercise was especially hard, but like Mila said, ‘it’s good for the brain!’ Ever since, I have started to look at challenges as opportunities to get stronger and be more resilient.”
Erika Vargas
OLA of Eastern Long Island · BioRitmo Virtual Workshop
The workshop was both enjoyable and innovative, offering activities that were fun and highly beneficial. Participants improved balance, coordination, memory, and overall mental agility.
Alma Tovar
Community Advocate, OLA of Eastern Long Island
“Mila Tina’s workshop on world rhythms, neuroplasticity, and neurogenesis was fascinating. I learned that rhythms are easier to learn through spoken language…”
